Introduction

The Huntertown PTO has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for this website: WildcatPTO.org.

Our site's registration form requires users to give us contact information (like their name and email address) and possibly demographic information (like their zip code or parent group status). We use contact information from the registration form to send the user information about our organization when requested to do so. The user's contact information is also used to contact the visitor when necessary. Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the choice/opt-out section below. Demographic and profile data may also be collected at our site. We use this data for other purposes.

This site contains links to other sites. Neither WildcatPTO.org, Huntertown Elementary School, Northwest Allen County School Corporation, nor the Huntertown PTO is responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites.  It is HIGHLY recommended that you read the information found at the Northwest Allen County Schools Acceptable Use Policy website and that you thoroughly understand the Wildcat PTO E-Policy.

This site makes forums available to its users. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information.

This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control.

Student Information Disclosure

Personal Web Pages

The Huntertown Parent Teachers Organization (PTO) supports the concept of faculty, staff and students creating personal Web pages that provide information relevant to the individual's role at the school. Personal Web pages are subject to all existing laws, NACS, and school policies. Note especially that pages on NACS servers may not be used to promote personal business or to provide personal financial gain, except as may be permitted by other policy or regulation. 

Personal pages shall not give the impression that they are representing, giving opinions or otherwise making statements on behalf of the school, the PTO, NACS, or any unit of said unless appropriately authorized (explicitly or implicitly) to do so. Where appropriate, an explicit disclaimer shall be included unless it is clear from the context that the author is not representing the school, the PTO, or NACS. An appropriate disclaimer is:

Identification

All sites under PTO jurisdiction (i.e., on PTO or NACS related servers or commercial servers funded by school or NACS budgets) must display information on the ownership of the sites, including a contact name with email address, and the date of the last update. Our site provides users the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from us at the point where we request information about the visitor.
