AWESOME WILDCAT AWARDS
The teachers and staff at Huntertown Elementary award Awesome Wildcat Awards to students when the students are "caught" doing something good!
The students are given an Awesome Wildcat certificate from the awarding staff member.
The students then deposit the certificate into the Awesome Wildcat Box at lunch on Fridays.
On Fridays, students' names are then read over the loudspeaker in the cafeteria.
Mr. MacLeod, the principal, then draws three names from the box and those students are awarded some candy.
In addition, a paw print is displayed on the bulletin board with each winning student's name on it.
A student receives a star for each additional award that they receive. After the student receives four stars, their paw print is full and they automatically receive candy at the awards presentation on that Friday.
Students are very excited about the awards. In addition, the staff at Huntertown appreciates the program because it allows them to recognize students who may not normally get recognition at school.
It also reinforces our C.L.A.S.S. philosophy.
